Applaud Your Small Efforts!

Larry Winget in his book You're Broke Because You Want to Be mentions he can walk through someone's house and tell what that person's checkbook looks like. If it is neat and the drawers organized, he claims it is likely that a neat, tidy system for tracking money is in place. On the other hand, if piles of dirty clothes are on the floor and ALL of the drawers are junk drawers, and the garage is in disarray, he surmises that person has no idea how much money he or she has or owes. Winget states when a person gets control over one area of life, the other areas start to come together. Interesting observations!

Take a look in Genesis at how the Lord ordered the creation process. It was done in an orderly manner, and note that only so much was completed in a day. Everyone is busy and can only accomplish a certain amount at a time. I have been working off and on for the last several months decluttering closets and drawers, etc. That's fine for me - I'm a single full-time employed woman, and a 24/7 parent. We need to applaud all of our small efforts, and keep going forward. The cumulative effects are worth it!

Introduction

Living in my small house (humble abode) forces me to attempt to be organized or things seem to take over. I certainly have not arrived, but I am trying. I have learned and figured out a few tips on this journey and will share them. It's all very basic. In addition, I'm interested in time management ideas, simplifying life, and encouraging others. Also, I love vintage items and like to find different ways to use them. Some other odd bits may surface here and there. We will see how this goes. . . (and if it stays). . .
